Nagarkot, an internationally renowned resort set on the edge of the kathmandu valley, close to the city of Devotees, Bhaktapur, is  undoubtedly one of the most beautiful areas of the country.It is 32 km north east of kathmandu downtown, is famous for its himalayan views- the Himalayan peaks at dawn are a magnificent sight to behold. Nagarkot is also a good point for mini-trekking. There are several treks possible to and from Nagarkot such as sankhu, changu Narayan, Dhulikhel, Sundarijal, Nala, etc. Nagarkot is very much a one-night stand, and few visitors stay longer. The best way to leave Nagarkot is on foot, on downhill hikes west to Sundarijal, Sankhu, or Changu Narayan, north to Chisopani or south to Banepa.
